The Brief

Following on from the success of the 2016  sale campaign Neighour was challenged to elevated the old visual direction for both print and digital executions. The new look needed to stay true to the puma brand, be recognisable as a sale campaign and be easily adapted to in-store retail destinations.

The approach

After considering the desired target market (i.e. the puma customer) the studio decided on a direction that would take the flat 2D graphic from 2016 and bring it to life in 3D. This would allow for the introduction of texture and lighting that could be directed to encompass a sense of fun and deliver impact. An additional side project came off the back off this direction as I suggested the online presence could benefit from the integration of movement.

The outcome

The final direction (including the illustration and animation) was used globally across both own brand and retailer stores. It was also seen on the puma.com homepage and the emailer that was sent out to subscribers to promote the sale launch.
